1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AI Safety Adventures at game.ethis.ai (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AI Safety Adventures is an educational platform that teaches children in grades 3-8 about AI safety, ethics, and responsible technology use through interactive storytelling. The Service is designed for use in educational settings under teacher supervision.

3. User Accounts

Teacher Accounts

  • Teachers must create an account using Google or Microsoft organizational sign-in
  • Teachers are responsible for managing their classrooms and student access
  • Teachers must have appropriate authorization from their educational institution

Student Access

  • Students access the Service through anonymous tokens generated by their teacher
  • No student accounts or personal information are required
  • Student access is governed by COPPA (see our Privacy Policy)

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful educational purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to bypass authentication or access controls
  • Use the Service to collect personal information from children
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
  • Share teacher login credentials with unauthorized users

5. Educational Content

All educational content, including adventures, characters, dialogue, and assessments, is the intellectual property of AI Safety Adventures. Teachers may use the content in their classrooms but may not redistribute it commercially.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect, use, and protect information. We comply with COPPA and do not collect personally identifiable information from children.

7. Third-Party Integrations

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as Google Classroom and Microsoft 365 for roster management and grade synchronization. These integrations:

  • Are initiated and authorized by the teacher
  • Only transfer anonymous grade data (no student PII)
  • Are governed by the respective platform's terms of service

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Safety Adventures shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered teachers of material changes via their account email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these terms. Teachers may delete their accounts at any time by contacting privacy@ethis.ai.
